1. Why choose Tipi as your next landlord?

We make private rental a truly customer focused business with everything made easy, whether you’re booking a viewing, moving in or organising the care, cleaning and bills for your home. We’ve learnt a lot from private rental communities created in New York, where some of the lifestyle features we’ve added, like our gyms and meeting places, are a big part of the offer.

2. If I rent a Tipi apartment, who will be my landlord and how do I contact them?

Tipi is our operating brand on behalf of the company that builds, owns and manages the apartments and all the shared spaces our tenants can enjoy. Tipi is the entity you sign your contract with. However, in each of our buildings there’s also a Tipi Team who looks after your needs and requests on a day-to-day basis. The Tipi Team are available in our buildings from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturday, while many of our services you can also arrange and manage online 24-7 through our tenants’ portal.

3. How does the cost of renting an apartment from Tipi compare with other kinds of private rental?

Renting an apartment from Tipi is really cost effective when you compare it with other kinds of private rental. That’s because it includes so many great features and services within the rental price – things you’d usually pay extra for when you rent elsewhere. With Tipi, for the rent you pay you have a stylish, well-located and well-maintained apartment, as well as access to a gym, friendly secure social spaces with Sky TV, super-fast broadband, secure underground parking and bicycle storage. Despite the knowledge that all of your utility bills are included in the rent we know you will be glad to hear we have designed every apartment with energy efficiency in mind. Add all of these benefits and savings together and we think you’ll agree, Tipi renting is a really good deal.

4. Which services are 100% included in the rental price?

40 Mb/s broadband, all utility bills, 24-hour concierge and end of tenancy cleaning is included in your rent. Our communal lounges come with 100 Mb/s super-fast broadband and Sky Sports channels are available for your viewing pleasure. Use of the gym will be included upon completion from Autumn/Winter 2016.

5. What additional services are available to add to my rental price?

Secure underground parking, Sky TV and the facility to upgrade your fast 40Mb/s broadband to a superfast speed. Dry cleaning, laundry and cleaning services as well as private hire of the social spaces and private cinema which is due to open later this year.

6. How long is the term of my contract and what’s the notice period?

You can rent a Tipi apartment for as little as six months or sign a contract for up to three years. The notice period is one month. If you need more or less space than you currently have with Tipi, always remember you can move to another Tipi apartment. Your contract with Tipi can move with you.

7. Do I have to rent a furnished apartment?

You can rent Tipi apartments furnished, part-furnished, or unfurnished and we have handpicked all the furniture items on offer. It’s entirely up to you which options you pick. But if you decide you need more furniture once you’ve moved in, you can order the added extras.

8. How many parking spaces come with a Tipi apartment?

We know some of you will need parking and some of you won’t, so we have the ability to add a secure underground parking space to your tenancy if you require one.

9. I have to give one month’s notice to my current landlord, will you hold an apartment for me until I can move in?

Once you have found an apartment you love we will agree your move in date, but if you have a while to wait before you can move – that’s ok – we have a range of apartments which will be released at different times. So if we do not have one today to meet your preferred timescale we will be sure to have one to suit you soon.

10. Where else apart from Wembley Park does Tipi have apartments?

We currently operate two buildings in Wembley Park, Montana & Dakota, and there will be more coming soon in Wembley Park – watch this space.
